Breqlyne Johnson is an associate at gartner + bloom‘s New Jersey office, where she focuses on construction defect and general liability insurance defense.
Breqlyne attended The Pennsylvania State University, where she earned her B.S. in Criminology: Legal Studies with a minor in Sociology. She then earned her Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law, where she served as Senior Federal Circuit Editor on the American University Law Review and Vice President of the Black Law Students Association.
Prior to joining gartner + bloom, Breqlyne worked at Roc Nation, where she managed legal and compliance matters for philanthropic initiatives, advised on and negotiated event-related contracts, and supported litigation and advocacy campaigns related to criminal justice reform. She also gained experience at Oracle, where she drafted and negotiated technology licensing agreements and advised on privacy and compliance issues, at the Hudson Institute, where she analyzed intellectual property cases and contributed to publications, and at Roc Nation’s Philanthropy department, Team Roc, where she conducted legal research and supported advocacy efforts related to criminal justice reform and public policy initiatives.
