Alexander E. Maurillo is a Senior Counsel at Gartner + Bloom and joined the firm in November 2025. He specializes in defending commercial, general liability, and personal injury claims, including premises liability, commercial trucking, construction, and labor law, among other areas. Mr. Maurillo also has extensive experience in prosecuting and defending product liability, mass and complex tort, and toxic tort litigation, as well as class actions.
He graduated from St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y., with a B.A. in English, Creative Writing, and Literary Studies. He earned his Juris Doctor from New York Law School in New York City and is licensed to practice law in the states of New York and Connecticut.
Mr. Maurillo is also a proud and loving father of three now-young adults. In his free time, he stays very active in his community, regularly volunteering to provide free legal services at a nonprofit organization to help community members in need across New York City.
