Hassan is an associate at gartner + bloom, where he focuses on general liability defense, transportation, and commercial litigation. He brings a distinctive combination of courtroom experience and sophisticated transactional, and risk management expertise that allows him to approach litigation from both a legal and business perspective. Prior to joining Gartner + Bloom, he served as an Associate Attorney at a NY insurance defense firm, where he managed a diverse litigation docket from inception through trial, handling pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, mediations, and court appearances across multiple areas of law.
Before returning to litigation, he served as a Senior Associate in the Contracting group of one of the world’s leading professional services firms, where he drafted and negotiated complex commercial agreements — including Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, NDAs, and technology and financial services contracts — for global Managed Services engagements. He worked directly alongside the Associate General Counsel on escalated risk and regulatory matters and collaborated with Risk Management on compliance, sanctions, and independence concerns. This Big 4 experience provided him with a deep understanding of how large enterprises structure, negotiate, and dispute commercial arrangements — a perspective he brings directly to his defense practice when evaluating indemnity provisions, contractual risk transfers, and liability exposure in complex commercial disputes. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Business and Finance Law from The George Washington University School of Law, with a focus on contract law, corporate law, arbitration, and securities. He is admitted to practice in New York, with Maryland admission in progress.
