Medea Matiashvili

Medea Matiashvili is an Associate in gartner + bloom’s PC New York Office, where she focuses on commercial insurance defense litigation. She is admitted to practice in the State courts of New York, and the Eastern and Southern Federal Districts of New York. Prior to joining gartner + bloom PC Ms. Matiashvili practiced for two years at New York law firms, where she concentrated on No-Fault/PIP insurance defense and foreclosure litigation.

Ms. Matiashvili has comprehensive experience in human rights and international development. She worked for the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative dedicating herself to promoting justice, equality, and human rights through criminal justice and rule of law programs. Ms. Matiashvili also has academic experience. She was an adjunct lecturer at Tbilisi State University, Caucasus School of Law, and a CLE trainer at the Georgian Bar Association.

Ms. Matiashvili received her J.D. from Tbilisi State University and an LL.M. degree from Benjamin Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University. While in law school she was a member of the Human Rights & Atrocity Prevention Clinic, where she worked on an indigenous land rights project – Strategic Advocacy and Mediation in Social – Environmental Conflicts in Brazil.
