Joshua D. Roth, a Partner in gartner + bloom’s Florida and New York offices, focuses his practice on insurance defense, general liability, labor law, construction law, construction defect, transportation liability and premises liability.
Before joining gartner + bloom, PC, Mr. Roth served as in-house counsel for a national insurance carrier and was a partner at a national insurance defense firm, practicing in the areas of insurance defense, personal injury defense, premises liability, trucking, product liability, wrongful death, governmental liability defense, insurance coverage and commercial litigation. He also previously prosecuted insurance claims as a plaintiff’s lawyer, which affords his clients the benefit of an attorney who understands how the plaintiff’s bar evaluates and postures claims – and using that experience to anticipate strategy and resolve matters more efficiently.
Joshua was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2014 and the New York State Bar in 2024. He is also admitted to practice in the District of Columbia (2024), before the U.S. District Court for the Northern (2023), Middle (2014) and Southern (2019) Districts of Florida, the U.S. Court of International Trade (2015), and the U.S. Supreme Court (2019).
Joshua is a Double Gator, earning his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Florida in 2008 and 2010, respectively. While in Gainesville, Joshua was involved in Student Government, the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity, Inc. and was part of the Editorial Board and Interdisciplinary Committee for the University of Florida College of Law’s Journal of Law and Public Policy. Mr. Roth then attended St. Thomas University College of Law and earned his Juris Doctor in 2012, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board and the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society.
Mr. Roth is a proud Eagle Scout and proficient in French, which has proven valuable in communicating and achieving resolutions with multinational clients. He was born, raised and continues to reside in Central Florida, mere minutes from the region’s well-known theme parks and attractions.
